Out and About

Walt Disney World 2017 Travel Vlog

I can barely believe that it’s been almost two weeks since I was in sunny Florida living it up at the Walt Disney World Resort! Although my stay at WDW was short & sweet, I still had a great time enjoying the parks with my family and getting some great grub. Check out my travel vlog – link above – where I’m sharing some of the highlights from my trip!

Here’s a quick recap of my trip:

Lodging:
Disney’s Contemporary Resort – This resort came highly recommended & it did not disappoint! The Contemporary is in a prime location – just walking distance from Magic Kingdom. The Disney World Monorail has a stop right inside of the hotel, so it’s very quick and easy to get to all of the other theme parks. If you’re lucky – your room at the Contemporary will give you an amazing view of either Magic Kingdom or Epcot!

Dining:
Honestly, there isn’t enough time in the world to get into all of the food that I consumed while at WDW – but here are my top picks at each park…

Magic Kingdom – Be Our Guest Restaurant: This restaurant really takes essence of the Disney experience and brings The Beauty & The Beast to live. Once you place your order at  the kiosk, you seat yourself anywhere that you like and moments later your food is magically delivered right to your table! We dined here for brunch & I definitely recommend the Open-Faced Bacon & Egg Sandwich.

Epcot – La Cantina de San Angel: As always, I manage to find nachos and margaritas no matter where I may be – and Disney World was no exception! Although I’m not typically a fan of frozen margaritas, the Mango Frozen Margarita really hit the spot & served as the perfect night cap to a day at Epcot.

Disney’s Hollywood StudiosRosie’s All American Cafe: Sometimes a girl just needs a burger and that’s where Rosie’s All American Cafe comes in! The 1/3 lb. Angus Cheeseburger came to the rescue to cure me of my hungry pains after a long day of walking through the park – and screaming my lungs out on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Yak & Yeti: Named in honor of the Yeti – the star of Expedition Everest – Yak & Yeti offered up a wide variety of Asian inspired foods. I ended up settling on Beef Spare Ribs, which was a very solid choice!
