I jumped back into my Chicago food fest crawl this weekend at Roscoe Village Burger Fest where I not only attended the fest, but also had the amazing opportunity to judge the Critics’ Choice Award – aka I tasted burgers for 2 hours which is essentially a dream come true!
A total of 11 vendors submitted burgers to be scored based on appearance, execution, taste, & overall appeal – no two burgers were alike. Once the votes were tallied, VPT Burgers took home the 2016 title & larger-than-life burger trophy for Best Burger. Although judging was serious business, it was a really great [and filling] experience!
In case you didn’t make it out to the fest, take a peek at my photos for a behind the scenes view of the Roscoe Village Burger Fest…
My only regret was not taking more pictures because I was so caught up in the burgers – typical!
What food fests have you attended this summer?
P.S. – If you’re interested in trying VPT Burger [which I highly recommend], the restaurant is located in the 5700 block of N. Western in the West Rogers Park neighborhood.
