Horchata Frappé

Horchata could easily be described as the perfect blend of spicy and sweet flavors all in one delicioso beverage. Although traditional horchata is made with rice and involves several steps, it’s so easy to substitute a few ingredients to make a quick and health-conscious version of horchata that is just as tasty as the original! Give this Horchata Frappé recipe a whirl!


– 1 cup almond milk
– 4-8 ice cubes
– 1 tbsp. sugar
– 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
– 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
– 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Blend time: 2 minutes


1. Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until ice is crushed and drink is the consistency of a milkshake.

2. Enjoy! (Maybe garnish with an umbrella for a bit of a tropical feel.)
